The fibers originate from trees such as eucalyptus, and are then manufactured using an environmentally responsible production process. The fibers are certified as compostable and biodegradable, and thus can fully revert back to nature. For this reason, TENCEL™ won the European Award for the Environment for its closed loop production process which recycles water and reuses solvents at a recovery rate of more than 99%.
