Why my bedding feels so incredible on my skin

So what’s our secret sauce?
We spent months and months searching for the perfect formula for our Tencel bed sheets. We visited countless factories in Portugal, laundered and tested different fabrics.
Our ambition: bed sheets that are supremely soft against your skin, yet crisp and cool. Turns out it’s a tricky balance to get right. Many Sateen fabrics and 100% Tencel blends feel “slippery” against your skin and percale cotton on its own or linen can become scratchy over time. We blend 50% high quality Tencel yarns with 50% long-staple, extra-soft cotton. Tencel has numerous benefits, in terms of comfort, breathability and environmental credentials (see here for more) and the added cotton gives the sheets some structure that a 100% Tencel fabric would lack.
It’s a formula we’ve revisited several times over the years, questioning whether we should be changing the blend. In the end we always stuck with what we’ve got and our customers seem to agree. And by now the fabric has also stood the test of time (our first sheets launched five years ago)!
